I'm sorry I haven't made anything in a while. I haven't had any inspiration in a while.

Guess what? My family I just went on a holiday to the Cameron Highlands CH). It was fun, relaxing and cold. Just the things that would expect if you go on holidays in the highlands. For your info, CH is a small highland district located in the state of Pahang in Malaysia. The temperature is colder than that at sea level.

CH temperature : Around 18'C year round

Sea level temp : Around 28'C year round

On the day that I left for CH, which was 3 days ago, I got an unpleasant awakening. We were supposed to move out at 9 am but I ended waking up at 10:15am. Of course, there was chaos all around but eventually, everything came back in order. We moved out around 11:20 am, if I'm not mistaken (^_^).

The journey to CH was , I have to say, fun. In the car, I was swaying left and right, left and right, left and right because the route was has curves turning left and right, left and right, left and right. About the view, it was amazing. The sight of a lush green forest on the mountains covered by clouds is breathtaking. Also on the route, there are many waterfalls. But my dad decided to stop at one of them on our way back. Also, I saw a village of the native people of the highlands and it's very different from the view of the modern world.

On our way to our destination, we passed through a town named Ringlet. I don't know about the name, but it was a small farming town with concrete buildings. The destination that we were heading is a town named Tanah Rata which literally means "flat land" in English. Tanah Rata is moderately sized town where the district government is located, it is also the place where most vacationers start their adventure on the highlands. After we arrived, we went straight to our hotel and checked in (the hotel had no air-cons).

After we checked in, we went to another town named Brinchang which is near the top. We went their because we wanted to go to a steamboat restaurant that was great because the last time that we went was in 1992. The food was great. After the meal, we went on to karaoke. I have to admit, I can't control my voice. But all the other family members had great voices.

The next day, my dad decided that we should go to a strawberry farm (CH is very famous for strawberries and tea). We took a long time finding the farm but we made it. The farm is actually at Brinchang but my dad almost made it to Ipoh (a city that 82km from CH). As usual, it was cold but the temperature was suitable for the strawberries. But on our way to the strawberry farm, we stopped at a shop that sold cacti and flowers. Mom bought lost of cacti and flowers at a cheap price.The farm had a cafe that serves everything that has anything related to the word 'strawberry.' I had a waffle. Next to the cafe, there's a shop that sells anything that has the word 'strawberry' on it. Strawberry ice-cream, strawberry candy, strawberry cookies, strawberry etc. And ultimately, the strawberry. We bought a pack.

In the afternoon, we went to a tea plantation. It was located in a valley and the view was outstanding. Overlooking the plantation, there's a cafe/grocery/souvenir shop where the visitors go to vist the plantation. Of course, we had tea and it was fresh. After we ate, we went to the tea shop adjacent to the cafe. After the tea shop, we went to the souvenir shop to buy some souvenirs.

The next day, which was our last day in CH, we decided to go back to the strawberry farm to buy more flowers and strawberries. We also bought some vegetables that are used in salads. This was our last stop before leaving CH.

On our way home, dad decided to stop at a waterfall. The waterfall's name was Lata Iskandar which means Iskandar's Waterfall. It was a an amazing waterfall. It was big and beautiful. I climbed to the top, and even thought it was tiring, it was worth it. I even wrote my name somewhere so that everyone knows that I have been there. My little brother did the same too. At the waterfall, there was a souvenir shop. It had all sorts of rare novelty items up for sale. There was also a WW2 bomb for sale.

After our stop at the fall, we head on home with our memories about the enjoyment of our holiday.
